Celebrating 5 years as a blogger + What's Next?

Updated: Feb 2, 2023

“To whom much is given, much is required.” Luke 12:48

First things first, thank you to everybody who’s read, commented, and shared any of my blogs over the last five years. When I decided to write my first post on Jan. 4, 2018 I was in a dark place and I needed an outlet. Writing was also something that I already enjoyed, so what started out as a hobby and a place for me to share my open thoughts has transformed into so much more over the years.

Y’all have read about my dating life, from the me and somebody’s son series (2 more stories coming next month) to me being open about my last relationship.

Y’all heard about my health issues and ongoing struggle with anxiety.

Y’all have enjoyed me sharing the things I’ve learned and experienced as a 20 something millennial.

For the last two years I’ve contemplated on where I envision this blog going, and a lot of people have been waiting for me to take blogging seriously, but up until last year I was against that idea. As much as I love writing I never wanted what started out as a hobby to turn into a job.

I’ve prayed about it and although I’m scared I am going to take blogging seriously. It’s time to be intentional and stop playing with my own potential. Step one was figuring out my niche which I learned was lifestyle content, and step two creating a name that I can build into a brand hence "20 Somethings." Step three is doing everything I said I was going to do. I never hype myself up, but baby writing is my gift and I thank God for it.

One of my favorite Youtubers, Asha Everything, talked about shifting your mind to “what’s next” concept and I love it.

So What’s Next ?

A tangible and digital product. Fingers crossed that my digital idea is ready by the end of February.

Newsletter. Get ready to subscribe.

Lifestyle content. More reels/Tiktok and new blog material, and to the people that’s asked I’m not joining the Youtube girlies.

Make sure you're following me on social media platforms.

Once again thank you so much for all the love, likes, and shares. I can’t wait to share and fulfill my vision for 2023.

Love y’all always, xoxo
